明 嘉庆黄釉葫芦瓶Dimensions:H 3.8in (9.5cm)此件黄釉葫芦瓶为撇口，双弧腹，卧足，造型规整。通体施黄釉，釉面光亮，晶莹透澈，温润如玉，底内施白釉，双圈内青花书“大明嘉靖年制”六字双行楷书款。黄釉器在历代单色釉瓷器中较为名贵。黄色可谐音“皇”，是帝王十分崇尚的颜色，如《通典》注：“黄者，中和美色，黄承天德，最盛淳美，故以尊色为溢也。”明、清时期，黄釉瓷为宫廷垄断，黄釉瓷器使用等级深严。明代黄釉瓷以弘治时期烧制者最佳，号称“娇黄”，本品为嘉靖朝官窑亦难得。This yellow-glazed gourd vase has a skimmed mouth, a double-curved belly, concave feet, and a regular shape. The whole body is covered with yellow glaze, and the glaze surface is bright, crystal clear, and as warm as jade. under the base is covered with white glaze, and the blue and white inscription "Da Qing Jia Jing Nian Zhi" is written in regular script with six characters in the double circle.Yellow glaze wares are more valuable among the single-color glaze porcelains of the past dynasties. Yellow is a homophonic word for "emperor" and is a color highly respected by emperors. For example, "Tongdian" notes: "Yellow neutralizes beauty. Yellow inherits Tiande and is the most pure and beautiful, so it is the color of respect." During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, yellow Glazed porcelain was monopolized by the court, and the use of yellow glazed porcelain was strictly enforced. The best yellow-glazed porcelain of the Ming Dynasty was produced during the Hongzhi period, and is known as "Jiaohuang". This product is rare because it came from the official kiln of the Jiajing Dynasty.
