Description
The Croix De Guerre medal. This medal was awarded to French and allied soldiers who were cited for bravery during their service in World War 1. Attachments signify degrees awarded based on actions of the soldier and his role. The bronze palm attachment on the ribbon signifies that this medal was given to someone in the army.The two Bronze stars signifies that this medal was awarded for the lowest degree. The silver colored star usually signified divisional dispatch.
