ROCK & GRANER OPEN TOP OMNIBUS | Germany, circa 1880-1890s, early and extremely hard to find especially this beautiful, hand painted tinplate toy done to the absolute top standards, includes hand painted tin horse on platform though the hitch bar is absent, very early luxury transport carriage with rear entry door to the vis-a-vis seating in rear, includes gauge 4-5 style composition German figures with pinholes at underside. Book example featured on page 39 of David Pressland's Great Book of Tin Toys. | Provenance: The John & Adrianne Haley Collection. | 10" l. carriage | Original figures have some minor touch-ups and driver head glued on at crack, only rear corner railing is touched up, otherwise all original (Pristine Condition) | $5,000 - $7,500
