Description
A footed bowl supports a candle nozzle attached to a long flat handle terminating in a curled, bi-furcated end which forms a tripod of support. The feet in the front are in the shape of animal legs with hooves. Tweezers are attached to the underside of the handle, typical of early Spanish chambersticks. The top surfaces are decorated with various solid raised shells, a flower, diamonds, and royal lions. The edges with a twisted border. Age and maker unknown. Tests as 900 silver.
