Description
Superbly potted with a tapering body sweeping up to a broad rounded shoulder surmounted by a waisted neck and everted rim, the exterior brilliantly painted in varying tones of copper red with one five-clawed dragon reaching for a flaming pearl amidst flame wisps, the claws firmly grasping the crushing waves and rocks implying the absolute sovereign and power of the Imperial family of the Ming dynasty, the windswept mane and scales meticulously defined, possibly early Ming dynasty.
