Description
A Staffordshire Historical Blue-Transfer Decorated Earthenware Serving Platter: Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, First Half 19th Century. Titled 'BEAUTIES of AMERICA, PENNSYLVANIA HOSPITAL PHILADELPHIA' and marked J&W Ridgway to the reverse.
Dimensions: Height 1 3/4in; width 18 3/4in; depth 14 1/4in.
Provenance:Â Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey.

Condition
Examined under UV light, restoration doesn't fluoresce. With professional restoration to either side; matte to the touch. There is a large 10" crack through the center of the platter General marks, wear, crazing and knife marks overall. Typical imperfections in glaze and transfer decoration, otherwise in generally good condition.
