Elvis Presley Personally Owned "Viva Las Vegas" 16mm Film Reels and 78 RPM Acetates W/Original Case and (2) LOAs (From the 1999 Graceland Archives Auction) - This is Elvis Presley's personal copy of 16mm film of his 1964 film, Viva Las Vegas. The three rolls of film are on the original metal reels and are housed in the original brown strapped case. The front of the case has a label which reads "Viva Las Vegas, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Producer: Jack Cumming, Director: George Cidney, Released June 1964". The reels of film measure 14" in diameter and the case measures 15.25" x 15.75". The lot will also include Elvis' personal set of (8) acetates from the film soundtrack which include the songs "Tomorrow & Forever," "I Need Somebody to Lean On," "Viva Las Vegas," and others. The acetates measure 10" in diameter. This lot was originally featured in the 1999 Graceland Archives Auction (Lot B156) and retain the original lot tag. A photocopy of the 1999 auction catalog page and two letters of authenticity are also included.
