This kilim woven in one piece is probably the work of a Hotamis Turkmen tribal group in the Nigde region. In the white field there are three parallel rows of eleven hexagons, each decorated with four widely extended hooks. Remains of the elems are preserved at both ends. The brilliance of the colours and the fine weave are certain indications of age.

Obvious signs of age and wear, missing areas and holes, damaged sides, fragmented ends. Mounted onto canvas. Provenance: Siedek Collection, Dusseldorf
