A George III urn-shaped silver nutmeg grater William Key overstriking possibly Thomas Shepherd, London 1789 Classical urn form, with bright-cut engraved decoration featuring floral swags and a vacant oval cartouche, the hinged domed lid with ball finial, opening to release the body which is divided in half and hinged across the base, revealing the grater, the interior gilded, all on a rectangular base with canted corners, height 7cm, weight 1.5oz.
