Description
A 1973 Rickenbacker 4000 bass, serial number ME 2136, Fireglo finish. Owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist. Used by C. F. Turner on the 1975 B.T.O. album Four Wheel Drive, pictured on the inside gatefold photos, and used by Fred on tour.
The output jack plate date code of ME dates the bass to May of 1973. A 33.5 inch scale length maple neck with a 20-fret dot-inlaid rosewood fretboard, maple body in Fireglo finish, a single pickup with master volume and tone controls, and chrome hardware. Includes gig bag.
