Description

27” cut and thrust blade with broad fullers to the forte, for use before plate armor. Square section downturned guard and large wheel pommel. The sword is rusted with dark toning, but not excavated. Rather its condition is as found on church swords which hung over the tombs of knights with no periodic maintenance. The last original of this type which we sold was over $20,000. Fine centerpiece for an arms and armor display.
