Churches Island, North Carolina, circa 1930s, carved and painted wood.
Length 15.5 in.
This widgeon and pintails from the Mose White stand represent some of his most desired art deco style of paint application. White had a lumber mill in South Mills, North Carolina, near Currituck Sound. Burgess would trade him finished decoys for wood.
