Norfolk, Virginia, circa 1940s, carved and painted wood, canvas over nail bill.
Length 10.5 in.
Gallop brothers Paul, WB "Dick", and Bruce made these important folksy coot decoys that have a lathe turned spindle head pattern with sail cloth over nail bill. The decoys from this stand are regarded as very important folk art.
