Pre-Columbian, Northern Peru, Chimu to Inca Transition Period, ca. 1300 to 1400 CE. A rectangular cotton textile panel boasting a series of abstract avian creatures separated by a central, segmented stripe. Accompanying the textile is a 5-ended tassel that was perhaps once an accessory for a garment or headpiece. Size of largest: 22.125" L x 15.25" W (56.2 cm x 38.7 cm)

Condition
Textile panel with small losses and loosening to fibers in a few areas; tassel is intact. Each with minor staining/fading to fiber color, otherwise in nice condition. Great colors remaining throughout.
