Judith and Holofernes

Alessandro Allori (31 May 1535 ? 22 September 1607) was an Italian painter of the late Mannerist Florentine school. He was born in Florence, Italy, and was the son of a sword maker. He was orphaned at a young age, and was raised by his uncle, the Mannerist painter Agnolo Bronzino. Allori studied under Bronzino and became one of his most important pupils.Allori was a prolific painter, and he produced a wide variety of works, including portraits, religious paintings, and mythological scenes.
