Sterling silver music box with miniature automaton bird. Sound resembles a bird chirping. Key included. Marked underneath, 'Sterling, Germany'. c. 1920. Provenance: With copy of original invoice and appraisal from Demner New York, dated 1999. Purchased for $5,500. Dimensions: H 1.75" x W 4" x D 2.5". Condition: Winds up and makes sound, bird is a little loose on mechanism. Probably needs tuning.
