Item Details
Description
A 1950s Todt archtop guitar in natural finish, owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist. One of many such instruments out of Randy’s impressive collection of German archtop guitars.

Todt, widely regarded as one of the most skilled luthiers operating out of East Germany during this period of guitarmaking, is revered thanks to his attention to detail, stellar build quality, and the tone and projection of his guitars.

A maple neck with a dark wood headstock overlay, with contrasting fanned white stripes. Six white button tuners, white nut with zero fret, binding around the headstock and on to the 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with unique triangle and dot fret position marker inlays. The body wears thick multi-ply and faux shell binding which surrounds the top, back and sides. A carved spruce top, carved flame maple back, and flame maple sides. An ebony bridge, harp tailpiece, and bound sickle sound holes. Appears to be over sprayed with hazing of the finish.

Includes soft-shell case.
