Description
Forged iron, 3 1/8” length. The top is a tapered, rectangular section and tapered form with flared base over an elongated pyramidal form spike. Used to straighten sword blades, damaged in battle. The spike was drivel into a log or tree and the blade edge hammered against the top. Considerable effects of use in its working life.
